When last we left this struggling hero.. he was traveling to La Terra Highlands! This is where I like to collect two things... an adventure seal and 20k+ in gold! So I hit the docks and accept the quest, I party up and quickly shut off the open invite! (this makes sense as I go further on) and borrow a raft!
I arm myself with a trusty staff and fire up my meditation... and kick off down the river! My main attack is thunder! ...at master it offers range and multiple targets even with a single charge! Probably the best way to maximize your star kills... I don't know how you would do it with arrows or simple Lightning bolts... solo anyway? Then I just blast everything I can (baring that all too familiar glitch that moves you to the other end of the raft and out of range when you try to trigger, mostly when attacking foes on the right side of the screen!) I hold off on my "Inspiration" till I am in the 200 range of MP... and also use my quest scroll as a MP reload to be sure I have the power to run it through to the final dock! y the end of the run.. I have somewhere between 19 big stars and 24... this is important to leaving the raft!
I buy this item! and then immediately sell it right back! ...as you can see, it a nice resale value! ...and an additional bounty of gold beyond the daily quest completion! (I find selling things to shops is a handy way to generate a little extra gold. From the 50hp potions to a 20 stack of feathers... you can generate a nice added income off the things dropped that you normally wouldn't use or have way too many of already!)
Then its a cross roads... on the weekends I hop the mana tunnel and head north! Friday, Saturday and Sunday the Saga missions are all opened for bonus rewards! ...so I hit the final episode three days in a row!
Here is how to run this like a champ!
mission one is a battle against that white, tight fitted outfit gun wielding chick! and her two minions... I simply duel wield generally good swords and fire final hit when the battle begins! The two minions go down very fast! ...and she spawns right in your face while you are still fully triggered and for some odd reason... she has to reload!?! so... in about 15 seconds you can easily complete that first battle and have a full health bar! Short cut scene and you are out of the mission and ready to re-equip!
second mission, I change armor to my "Final Hit time extension" version... dawn my duel rainbow swords... and wait for my final hit to recharge! Then I am back in the shadows! This time.. I am up against aonbharrs! ...and they spawn two to one with each kill! BUT heavy armor.. final hit and heavy weapons... gets me though it with minimal scars! another cut scene and out I go again!
Standing next to Akule I yet again change up equipment! This time.. I grab two daggers! (yup... I know I am fighting a GOD! yes.. I said daggers... probably the lowest damage weapons you can wield! ...there is method to my madness!) Macha takes 1 point of damage from any and all weapons... but the life bar drops a percent for every hit... so.. two daggers gives you the fastest hit aside from the rainbow swords.. and cost far less to repair down the road! I dive back in and instead of triggering final hit like usual.. I hit Shylock step! I tell ya.. watching my guy run his little legs off at double time makes it hard to fight a God! I am holding back full belly laughter while trying to bring her down to 40%! When the speed finally concludes... then I trigger Final hit and all her teleporting is useless... the life bar just falls and falls until... yup.. cut scene... and out again!
All that's left is a few post battle chat sessions... warp in and out of the Holy land of Shamans... and watch the credits roll! Add another seal to the tally... collect 30k and a gold pouch and some AP coupons! Then back to the every day tasks or straight to the next if it is a weekday!
And this is where I should introduce a very special member of my team...
Mixlplix! ...my warp imp! (if you don't have a warp imp, I strongly suggest you get one! I swear he has come in handy on so many occasions I may just get him a brother or son or something! One is AWESOME! two.. yeah... I might never need the traditional continent warp feature again with a team of those little guys!) also... bonus points if you know where I got his name from!
There is a particular spot in Maiz Prairie where 8 monkey statues reside in a virtual straight line... and remember... I still have that exploration quest from Alexina! Mixlplix has remembered the spot where they begin! and on warp and I am right on top of the first one! Ready to scramble and reveal them all before someone on another channel beats me to it! (this happens more than I care to mention! I swear every time I am a human doing this run I am up against an elf on another channel or someone riding a very fast mount! My only solace is... I seem to come at it from the opposite side to most players.. and we generally meet in the middle!) I clear the 8 and simply run bck to the start and wait for them to go poof.. and re-reveal the first two again! bling goes the quest! and add another seal to my tally!
Now back to Dunbarton! ...And a fast jump to Doki to unload 30 potatoes for my 3 easy cats eyes! No time for love... I grab the eyes and request passage back before there is even time to say "hey.. wanna be my..." and I am gone!
Start to finish this main run takes about an hour to an hour and a half to complete! I stage myself in front of the bank.. and now I log off and go down the list of alts!
All 5 begin in Dunby... they all call my Pegasus and retrieve their share of potatoes and a striped marlin! No one seems to even be leveled up enough to have the two shadow missions so they just head straight for Cobb! They all bang on poles for Nails... hit the fisherman and then all hit their homesteads to acrew their full stone supplys for the day!
Then they all warp to Iria! The humans follow my path from the Port... collect their quest from Alexina and then warp directly to the Shyllien Preserve for only the easy part time job... then off to the Hillwan mines to also only do the easy part time job! then they call on Mixlplix and warp directly to the monkey statues and run those till they clear their quest and warp back to Dunby! The elf and Giant land in their homelands... so they do thier closest part time job first.. then the opposite one. then warp to Alexina for the scroll. and finally ride Mixlplix to the statues and then.. land in Dunby!.. fshew!
They all hit that red head guy for a beach landing... drop potatoes on the crouched guy... collect their three cats eyes and zap back to Dunbarton and head straight for the bank!
In the bank they first choose to trade... you collect someodd things doing even the least dangerous seal quests.. bait tins.. folded paper birds.. glittery paper... and they simply sell it all for gold! (they also collect iron bars and plates but I keep those! they get stored on a pet after the banking is concluded.)
Next they open their accounts.. choose my mains... and drop 5 seals each into that account! That's 25 seals in total! ...above the 9 to 13 I collect in my longer missions! And then they exit the bank!
Outside each one drops their gold tally and cats eyes (three per alt adds 15 to my 3!) into my Pegasus... they drop the iron into my nimbus (cleverly named "Cunnanimbus") and any extra large nails into "Mr. Muffins" (named after my cat... he is no longer with us... but he lives on in the game forever!) and I log off and finally re-log in as my main! Each alt takes about a half hour to complete... 2.5 hrs to my 1.5 brings the possible time just doing dailys to 4 hours!
but in the end... I acrewed around 30 adventure seals and 18 cats eyes! ...in one day! And the cats eyes, solely from the labor of leveling up my Hoeing!
Is it cheating? no... I see personal shops filled with cats eyes selling them for a small fortune! I pull 18 and use them to better my game play... I see weapons and armor selling for millions and I am poor... I use my seals to equip myself for maximum damage and protection.. not to sell for profit! When I gain my armor.. I will use my seals to buy skill points for tough skills I need to advance! I will buy expiration erasing scrolls for scrolls I have that I am not ready to enchant on my gear! I will buy Guardian soul stones! (they are just like nao stones... but the reset DK too... so.. you are DK and get knocked out... you use the stone.. revive at full and blessed with holy water... and can re-trigger DK immediately! ..and it only cost 6 seals! SIX!!!) All perfectly within the games rules and I am using the proper transfer methods for each item... and although monotonous.. I find it useful and entertaining.
So.. that's what I do every day... and why I have my alts... (all of which were free from the game and prior to my decision to create them as workers for my main.. were just cards spinning in my log in field doing nothing!) And again... they are all part of the guild.. so.. if you need me.. holler my name.. Ill see it from all alts and shout back... and if there is a battle or a generation that need a broad shouldered duel wielding gold and grey guy.. with a soft side for magic.. I can be there in a heart beat! (uhh.. well.. I do get lost alot.. so.. I may warp to Avon first.. then have to Mixlplix to Iria just to continent warp back to Dunbarton... but I swear.. I am on my way! HA!)
