Just search for GIFs on Giphy and click Share then copy the address under GIF.

Or alternatively, use your preferred search engine and copy the address*
*Some websites might not take kindly to using their address by disabling 'hotlinking' (essentially taking something on their server and using it for another site) because technically that's considered stealing bandwidth--if this happens though you can upload it to your preferred image host and use it from there.

Then come back to the forum and click the button to the right of mail when you're making a post and insert the address of your image there

The signature box basically works with the same coding as normal posts.
For those that don't know yet:

1. open a random thread
2. make a post
3. insert your picture with the help of the menu
   
4. edit the size and what not
   
5. open de BBCode tab
   
6. copy the code
7. close your post creating window
   
8. paste in signature window in your profile
