GETTING STARTED
Player Shops
Using an item bag you can buy from the General Store for under 5,000 Gold. You can buy a Merchant License at the Bank and open up a Player Shop. It is also recommended to purchase a Brownie Contract to watch your shop for you.
Commonly bought items are:
When you open your Shop,
You should FIRST price all items greater than the amount
you bought the Merchant License for.
After that item is sold, then you should put up the cheaper items for sale. If you somehow get disconnected or crash, you will at least have made a profit or you can reuse the license.
When the Merchant License is finished, drag and drop it into your Bank Inventory as if you were depositing an item.
Kiosks
Due to low exposure, it is recommended to set up a Kiosk in the market channel rather than a normal channel.
The initial cost is high (50,000 Gold) but you do not need to buy any merchant license to set up shop every single time. Unlike using a bag/opening Player Shop, items stored in the Kiosk are required to be up for sale to take advantage of the space the Kiosk lends you.
Unlike personal shops, there is also no limit on how much total Gold is earned at the Kiosk, however there is a 1,000,000 Gold limit on the price of each item.
Helpful Tips
Do your Research
Always pay attention to your competition.
Your item won't sell if your competition has a better offering.
Take your time pricing
I've bought items from other players who have severely under-priced their merchandise. There are people who buy low and sell high.
When selling an item for a high price (greater than 100,000 Gold),
Take the extra few seconds to count the zeroes.
Nothing is worse than coming back to find your Glory Sword gone and you only made 30,000 Gold from it.
