The Ice Queen and Her Dragons
The storm's powerful wind finally died down. After three days straight of the raging blizzard, Azurine was not pleased with something. The plaines of Fillia were heaped with snow nearly every time she visited. Odiellia wrapped her robe around her a little tighter as her dark horse trudged through the knee deep snow.
Azurine was an old friend, and a very very powerful one. The very Queen of Ice is what she was known as, a queen with a powerful history. Odiellia had stayed close to her ever since her knighting as a paladin. Now, she could very well become a very powerful enemy....
There was no wooden fencing around it, but it was easily seen where the borders of Azurine's quaint and humble yet large homestead was. Odiellia's shined and now freezing cold RK boots hit the snow as her horse disappeared in a stifled cloud of darkness as it had been when first summoned. She approached the elaborately robed figure who rested on the right flank of a large and muscular Ice Dragon, one of the rarest kinds of such winged beasts and known to be the kindest, but this one eyed Odiellia cautiously, meanwhile, Azurine turned to reveal her queen-like face and near perfect smile. "It has been far too long my friend, I have been expecting you."
Odiellia stood where she was, her armor hidden away under a simple traveler's robe. Her sword however stayed strapped across her back for accessibility. She attempted a smile but it did not stay long. "Including this great winter, it has been nearly a year or so hasn't it? I apologize for my absense, but there has been much that has happened, and with it I bring much to discuss." The great ice queen smiled humbly and gestured to sit in the soft and fluffy snow near the damp ground that surrounded a dry and brightly burning campfire, Azurine seemed to be busy enjoying the weather as well as her beastial company, who continued to gaze at Odiellia as if reading her mind.
A cup of tea later along with small chatting, and they seemed to almost be caught up. Azurine spoke quietly and decisively first, "You have left much out of your stories my young Odiellia, and that mark on your face, I feel as if it has grown larger in the time that has passed. Your veins pulse with a blood much darker then any mere mortal.." Odiellia had set down her cup and had locked eye contact with the ice queen, only a few feet away. "I am not here to be feared by you Azurine, I am here to merely repay the favors of the past, when you had protected me when I was weak. No longer will you have to do so with me now. I can make you the greatest queen of ice this world will know for centuries. Millenia, even."
Odiellia was stronger now, and certainly faster, but the icicle had dug into her shoulder at a speed that would have had to be within the blink of an eye... This however did not stop the dagger from slicing neatly into the hand of Azurine that already began to form yet another bolt of sharp and lethal ice. That would be the least of Odiellia's worries, as the dragon had already turned, with a breath of frost known to be colder then the heart of Cichol himself...
( And so, Odiellia, makes her return, though at the moment, will it only be short lived? Will Azurine and her dragon stop the possible tyranny before it starts? Will Odiellia ever try a sweetroll or that tasty granola traders are so obsessed with, find out next time as I continue this specific episode/chapter thingy.. I apologize for taking for absolute ever but today was not my day, I had a lot of setbacks and barely managed this at the time I did. But I thank you for any feedback and support, and I shall continue tomorrow, and hopefully more so afterward. Love all you derps - Odie )
