I'm Ruiha, the Guild Founder. Normally everyone calls me Rui. I started playing Mabinogi back in 2008 on Mari under the name Meiyin.
I wanted to start off fresh like this was a new game except one that I already know how to play, so I restarted in Alexina during 2011. Though it was hard being a noob again, I persisted. I got Rank 1 Windmill first like I always wanted to do. I got rich somehow. I created the guild platform I've always wanted to see in a guild, and that told me that I should stay here in Alexina a while.
My expertise in Mabinogi lies in Barding and Archery
having achieved Masters in both. But what I love to do is deliver two cylinders full of whupass going blam! blam!
and I ain't talking about alchemy
Gypsies man. They'll fuck you up.
I'm not as active as I used to be
in Mabinogi and probably can't be involved as I'd like to be in guild affairs. I tend to miss out a lot on guild functions but I always try to do whatever I can. I try to at least log on daily. The best way to get in touch with me is through the forums since I can check that while I'm on break at work or out and about on US Navy meetings.
I'm a pretty big techie.
My hobbies outside of Mabi are computer repair and game development. Surprisingly, I find computer repair very fun. My friends are all like, "How could you stand to do that? It looks so boring!" But really it's kind of like a puzzle game to me because I love troubleshooting. And I also like customizing the UI to make it more easy on the eyes. I just don't want them to deal with such a sluggish and unattractive contraption.
My desktop in Windows 7 a few odd years ago.
I'm a hobbyist game developer.
My current project is a remake of a shitty Pokémon fan-game I made back in 2003 and it was supposed to be released last year on an underground site. It's an arcade style game, a stark contrast to the mounds of generic Pokémon fan-RPGs.
It's a hard game and it's supposed to be really damn hard because of the story behind it:
The agent reveals that you were the product of a joint effort between Silph Tech and the pharmaceutical Rocket Industries to create the ultimate Pokémon trainer. You are a fighter genetically bonded with your Pokémon to the point that you have full control of the battle.
However, ties grew bitter as the competition between the two conglomerates stiffened. Soon they pushed a mutual ban on the procedure. You were labeled illegal and you were supposed to die. But now, you're on the run as both companies want to wipe away any evidence of your existence and they will do anything to stop you.
Most of the gameplay is done but I couldn't release it because it wasn't perfected yet.
(shameless story-writer wanted sign goes here)
Sociological.
I love to study people's behavioral patterns, what makes them tick and overall I think it's a pretty useful skill to have. Also it is what constitutes my habitual distancing from others because I judge people the moment they open their mouth. I start painting a picture of their character in my head based on senses they give me with their choice of words as well as their actions.
Non-Comformist.
I use a MacBook Pro, a Surface Pro tablet and a Lumia 1520 Windows Phone. I use Bing and hate Google. I dislike censorship. I use Internet Explorer by choice. I actually like using Windows 8. I'm a Microsoft shareholder in case you couldn't tell. My watch tells me time in binary. I don't drink soda unless it has real sugar in it. I drink non-alcoholic beer. I don't have a television in my room. My room is actually well-kept. I take the time to read fine print. You are surely not reading this text. I hate arguing. I hate PvP. I can't stand to watch movies because of the time it occupies. I'm very picky when it comes to what anime to watch and refuse to watch anything mainstream. I learned Japanese during my secondary school years rather than by watching anime. I listen to doujin Japanese music that isn't anime related and hate 95% of contemporary American music. And I read H-Manga for the cute love stories.
It can be pretty hard to relate to me, you're not alone.
Positive.
I'm somewhat the same person in Mabinogi but not precisely. I like to project a positive image even if I feel like shit because if I make others smile, that makes me happy. I like to be a teacher, mentor and role model to others, especially beginners. I used to teach newcomers the combat system before Tin came down from his throne and dumbed everything down so you don't need to learn from real people anymore.
I absolutely love helping people,
This guild was founded on the principle of helping others and I really hope you will enjoy it here with us!
With love,
~ Ruiha
