Transcript for the Guild Meeting held on 29 January 2017 is as follows:
Drakkion:
Today’s topics will be The Milletian Union events, the Jousting Tournament event, the Donation Box opening in February, and a quick explanation about Credits!
First of all is the Milletian Union.
To give a run down what that is, the idea behind the Union is that we raise activity in Mabi again with community events where guilds work together. We had two guilds willing to join the Union, those being Vanguardia and Royalknights.
Due to change in leadership, Royalknights will be withdrawing from the Union for now.
To get a feel for each other, we decided to start weekly events in spirit of the Winds of last year!
But unlike the Winds, the weekly events will be Monday through Friday!
We’ll have this as a start to build up to the bigger community events.
The idea was to find activities that match the daily bonus.
Let us go through the week and see what we got!
On Monday we’ll have a life skill day, where we’ll work in Hillwen and Shyllien to make the most of party bonus, the Monday daily bonus and the additional help that might not be possible alone!
Tuesday will be all about Shadow Missions. We’ll get the dailies done and also do lord missions, elites, and conflict spam as much as there’s demand.
On Wednesdays we’ll do Martial Arts Tournament. This will go similar to the Wind we had before where we split into groups and wreck all the NPCs. Ferghus included.
Thursday is rafting where we’ll have rafting runs, get peoples dailies done and train some magic!
Last but not least, is the highlight on Friday. We plan to do Girgashiy raids! Everyone who’s wanting to learn, and train can join us for that. The only requirement is to have G19 completed. The focus of those Girgashiy runs will be to get people’s dailies and maybe also weekly missions done. The more we do this, the stronger everyone will become at it! To train and to advance, that will be the focus.
Crimsoncero:
So, as I understand it, this will be daily events that will be more like stuff to do together right?
Drakkion:
Correct! We want to have some activity together and strengthen our feeling as a group!
Crimsoncero:
And will it be limited to the union guild or for outsiders as well as the point is to bring the whole community together.
Drakkion:
The weekly events will be limited to guilds for now as we are the pillar. As big community events build on. That’s why for now, it will be limited to guild members while the dcommunity events will be for everyone.
Crimsoncero:
So it’s basically the bonding activities for the union guilds?
Drakkion:
Pretty much!
Feircefire:
What time does this all take place? If this is a bonding thing for the guilds it would be nice to know when to meet especially with time zones to consider.
Drakkion:
Here’s the interesting point, due to it being an event for both guilds both sides need to be present. Therefore it’s hard to pinpoint a direct time but it will be in a time window around 11am to 3pm Server Time. It’s kinda not possible to do it differently midweek. For me, 3pm is already midnight so that’s the compromise! Any more questions?
Aeoliose:
So for the Girgashiy raids, will there be any sort of extra chat or coordination service provided? In my experience the hardest issue is getting people to actually do it even when they want to. For example: Someone wants to train skills but they never come in the time window because they assume no one is there. So will we have any sort of system to indicate groups to give that extra push for consistent attendance long term? If I were to have a suggestion it would be that.
Drakkion:
For now that’s not possible, first we’ll have to see on Friday who’s coming. But once we see the people that join on Friday we will have a Union Discord server where all the people interested in it can join and where we’ll keep them posted.
Fiercefire:
Will the Discord Server Link be posted in the Alstroemeria chat?
Drakkion:
It definitely will be! It will be spread all over the world! With that, I’ll close the Milletian Union topic. Onto the next topic!
Next week on the 4th February, we’ll have a Jousting Tournament
For this I’ll turn it to Rui
Ruiha:
Hello everyone!
For those who don’t know me, I’m Ruiha. The Guild Founder and the Officer in Charge of Alstroemeria Operations Asia-Pacific.
I’m sure many of you are anxious about the much-anticipated Jousting Tournament and I’m here to share more details!
The tournament will be held next Saturday at this same time slot! (2pm Server Time)
Unlike previous events, late entries won’t be accepted once the event starts! Be sure to be there early to secure your place in case you get disconnected or real life obligations!
Tournament slots will be randomly generated.
Grand prize for the event is:
Overwatch Origins Edition (CD-Key) * along with 500 Alst Credits + 50 per round win
* Prize restricted to Member (M-3) or above ONLY! Check your Discord to see your rank! To learn more how to be promoted to M-3, visit alst.co/ranks
Runner up prize for the event is:
500 Alst Credits + 50 per round win
Consolation prize for all members is:
250 Alst Credits + 50 per round win
Alstroemeria Credits can be used to redeem for Mabinogi Cash Shop items in our Guild Store and soon, Donation Box Shop which will be covered later!
Are there any questions in regards to the Jousting Tournament?
Feircefire:
What channel will it be held?
Ruiha:
It will be held here on Ch.6!
Feircefire:
How can I tell when server time is?
Ruiha:
I’ll post a guide on the forums so that you’ll be able to see Server Time whenever you click on the clock in the Windows taskbar!
I hope to see you there next week and best of luck to all of you!
Onto the next topic!
Next topic is Donation Box Shop!
We have had the Donation Box Shop since it was proposed by Kohanetsu in 2014, however it has not had much use as of late. We have also noticed, your Alst Credits on the forum have not been given much use as of late..
But no worries!
We aim to change that by making our Donation Box Shop public and we will be doing a rollout of its contents throughout February.
Febuary 1st: Elite Members & Staff
February 4th: Veteran Members
February 11th: All members
Rules are as follows:
Items can only be purchased with Alst Credits
Only ONE order allowed every 7 days (you can request up to three items)
If more than one person is after the same item, the most senior member will be awarded the item
No holds will be awarded for any item
Are there any questions in regards to the Donation Box Shop and Alst Credits in general?
I will post details of the Jousting Tournament and Donation Box Shop on the guild website within the next 48 hours or so. If you have further questions, we can talk offline or on the forum topic!
And I’ll be turning it back over to Drakkion to discuss the next topic. Thank you for listening!
Drakkion:
Thank you very much Rui! Rui already mentioned credits and while events are a good way to earn credits, they are not the only way! A really good way to earn some is the bi-weekly payment for Veteran Members and above. Today for example, was payday.
So bi-weekly would mean, the next day credits will be paid is in 14 days.
To become a veteran, one must pass a test. It will be an exam about guild history to test how much you know about it. The test is automated and the link can be obtained by asking a staff member. Additionally, one is able to study a bit of guild history. For more information on that, you can ask a staff member as well! I hope to see a great increase in Veteran Members in the future. I know what there is so much potential!
Xbladeslash2:
Do the people who took the test allowed to keep their current rank?
Drakkion:
You won’t downgrade if that’s what you’re asking. You can only advance!
Well then, that almost concludes the guild meeting. Does anyone have feedback or announcements?
Ruiha:
Awards were updated last night as well as an influx of Alst Credits, be sure to stop by the forums! Also, most of the Wind Awards have been removed and consolidated into the Wind Service Distinction Award.
Tanino:
So, as we all know Rui and Relya spend a lot of time on the Guild Website.. we have one of the better designed guild homepages I’ve seen in my years playing Mabinogi. I feel like it’s going slightly to waste because it is very heavily underused. Keep in consideration this is my opinion. I don’t actually know how much the website gets used by the members of the guild and/or community. However I’m aware we are not actively recruiting nor are we considering that option. Members come to the guild out of their own interest, not because we flaunted it in their face or something.
However, as I have expressed in the past, I feel it should be more important to promote the guild website. Due to the nature of it, and the services we offer as a guild. Without actively recruiting, it’s hard to find a position where it’s possible to showcase it.
That being said, I still believe that there should be a higher involvement made on the Mabinogi Forums and/or other communities.
Although we are not recruiting, it should be important to have our own guild thread on the forums, considering there are new Mabinogi forums. If members of the community are interested in us, I believe it’s important to make the access easier for them.
That will be all!
Drakkion:
Thank you Tanino, for your detailed feedback it’s highly appreciated! And with that, today’s meeting is coming to a close! I wish you all a Happy February! Stay warm everyone!
