We have some exciting changes coming to Alst! Because no guild dares to challenge us, we'll be holding a Jousting Tournament on the first Saturday (Wīnd 1st) event! Valiancy has proposed Ladies Night to help ladies and girls and those who identify as such, stay strong, make the right decisions, share experiences, and ask each other for advice on anything that may come in real life. We are also seeing if our members are interested in a guild-wide Girgashiy Raid and we'll be holding training events to prepare!
Here are some things discussed at the guild meeting on June 25, 2016:
• Wīnd 1st Event Change to Jousting Tournament
• Ladies Night Proposal
• Girgashiy Raid Proposal

Guild meeting transcript for June 25, 2016 is as follows:
Drakkion:
I welcome you to this month’s guild meeting! I’m glad that you came because today there will be quite some important changes.
For today’s topics:
Change of the 1st Wīnd
Introduction of the ladies night event
Girgashy Guild Raid Introduction
Winner of Event Creation Contest
So far, the 1st Wīnd has been the guild battle but due to the lack of other guilds, we often spend our time waiting for other challengers. That’s why we thought about changing the event and save the guild battle for something else.
The 1st Wīnd will be replaced by a Jousting tournament!
The guild members will face off against each other on horses and fight to reach the top! The benefits of jousting are that even newer members can fight veterans, without having to worry about their level.
A detailed explanation about the rules will be explained on the forum, and also at the jousting arena at the Wīnd!
We believe that this is a good compromise and saves us a lot of disappointment if some guilds withdraw their guild battle challenge!
The Jousting Tournament will kick in next week. I hope to see you all there! Are there any questions regarding the change of the 1st Wīnd and the Jousting?
Next up is the introduction of the Ladies Night Event!
It’s an event idea submitted by Valiancy, and already got positive feedback. It is intended for women and girls only, but anyone who identifies as such is welcome.
It will be basically be a girls only event that will take place at a locked homestead and is meant to give the females of the guild some freedom to exchange themselves, and give them room to talk about all kinds of things. But my explanation won’t do it justice and I’m also not invited.
The details to the ladies night event will be posted on the forum, and on Discord and you can also ask Valiancy for further details.
Risaoko:
At who’s homestead will it be?
Drakkion:
First it will be in Vali’s homestead but then you can make it out on your own if someone else wants to be the host of the event so there’s some change of pace to it. As mentioned, the forum will soon be updated with more information. If there are any questions that come up to the topic, you can still hit us up afterwards!
Next up is something I’ve been asked a lot. Our guild has successfully done Dragon Raids and Guild Wars, but I’ve been frequently asked if we also do Girgashiy raids. So today I want to introduce the concept of a Girgashiy raids a little bit.
Personally I’d be open to run those raids with the guild, but unlike dragon raids, the Girgashiy raid has certain requirements: If you want to participate, you need to have completed G19 and you’ll need all 3 Crusader Skills ready so that would be an event that is not accessible for everyone in the guild.
Should there still be an interest for them, you can apply to us saying that you’d meet all the requirements to join a crusader raid! If we get enough for a team, we’ll make it an official guild event. For this, all staff members can be contacted, all you need to say is “I’ve completed G19 and I know how to use the Crusader Skills”
I’m really looking forward to the results and maybe we’ll start raiding soon!
Are there any questions regarding the Girgashiy Raids?
Schizonoid:
Since not everyone of us know how to use the skills correctly, someone who does can explain them before the raid?
Drakkion:
Of course! We’ll arrange training runs before we actually start raiding. It’s not as tricky as it might sound, all we need is timing and teamwork! I’m confident that anyone can learn how to do it! That way no one will be thrown into the cold water.
The event creation contest ended on June 21st and we finally got the winner of the contest.
Third place was scored by Xbladeslasher2!
Second place goes to Atriarch!
First place goes to Tarakomo!
Their event ideas will be released soon, so you can see which event scored best!
Ruiha:
Hi everyone! I see a couple new faces around here, for those who don’t know me.. I’m Ruiha, the guild founder and senior advisor to the Alstroemeria guild.
The topic we’ll be discussing will be Guild Advancement.
Originally to be a higher rank in Alst, one would have to spam posts on the forum.
Guild Advancement was a result of wanting to bring forth our members who are experienced and committed to the guild and its members.
To be eligible for Guild Advancement: Members must have a forum account on alst.boards.net, have a personal avatar, an introduction, and five guild awards (obtained by participating in guild events).
I’ve taken the liberty of finding what you need to do to be eligible by providing a checklist for each forum member that can be found on your Profile page.
After those conditions are met, you can take the Advancement Exam which consists of 30 questions based on guild policy, gamer health and wellness, Alstroemeria history, and scenario based questions. Many of these scenario based questions were actually derived from our guild’s history from unruly members who were removed from the guild. The exam simply reinforces our policies and what is expected as a Veteran member being a role model for the Alstroemeria guild.
I would like to thank the following members for pioneering the Guild Advancement program: Karnykinz, Drakkion, Relya, Celinus, Valiancy, Bigkearog, Silverace17, Hubertus, Zagex, Risaoko, Kiratu. And a warm congratulation to our newest Veteran, ikiritoi.
These members have all passed the guild advancement with an average of 96.9%.
We are continually adding benefits to our Veteran members and above. Our Veteran members are distinguished as a dark turquoise name on the forums and a green name on Discord.
Are there any questions or suggestions regarding the Guild Advancement program?
Drakkion:
We also want to mention, that the guild store has opened up again! Though not all items made a return, there will be goods that Rui still has on stock including Letter of Guarantee, Raid Crystals, and Shadow Crystals!
Risaoko:
NX too?
Drakkion:
NX is not an item on stock and therefore won’t be available for purchase, I hope you understand! But if you feel like you’re in need of crystals, this is your chance to stock up again!
And then last but not least,
I want to remind you guys that the mentoring system is in progress right now!
For a whole month, we’ve been asking new recruits if they’re interested in having a mentor and even older members asked if they can receive some help! To come up with the demand, we’re still loking for help!
If anyone is interested in becoming a mentor and helping others, they can always hit us up!
Knnisai:
Is there a formal sign up sheet or just have to ask one of the staff?
Drakkion:
There is a sign up sheet for it on Alst.co
All you have to do is meet the requirements mentioned there, one also having reached the Veteran rank and above. So with that being said, I’m looking forward to applications!
We’re almost done with this month’s meeting, but of course, before we wrap it up, there’s room for feedback, suggestions and announcements!
Risaoko:
So, if Axira is Thasador’s alt, he must wait two weeks right?
Axira:
This is my main character now.
Drakkion:
Alts are allowed in the guild if you clear it up with me, you can also replace your current character with the one you’re playing with. Another interview will not be needed in this case and you won’t have to wait two weeks.
That concludes this month’s guild meeting!
