Hello, it's me again, this time with a story of a genre you may or may not be familiar with: Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA)!
Basically, I lay out a story with a main character doing a few things and describe the setting. After a little bit of writing, there is a pause in the story. That is where you (yes any of you) decide what to do next. I write up the next portion of the story until we reach another pause, and at that point you will have to make another decision. See what I'm getting at?
This particular quest will be in the Pokemon setting. I know that's not everyone's favorite, but it's well known amongst the majority of people, making it easier to follow the story and make choices.
Now, without further ado, let us begin!
You groggily open your eyes, feeling an unfamiliar cloud of blackness in your head. You realize that you are laying in the middle of a dirt path, with a blue backpack laying nearby. The sun's rays shine down on you, but what would be an uncomfortable heat is eased by a gentle breeze. You slowly get to your feet, feeling as if you had been thrown by an extreme force onto the path where you until recently lay, but notice that you are not injured. As you stand, you sway a little before regaining your balance. Looking around, you see a sign that points in the familiar compass directions of north, east, south, and west. To the north, the path goes on into what appears to be a meadow, and the grass shakes slightly from something other than the breeze. To the east is a forest with no clear path into it, and many small plants block the way, making it nearly impossible to enter. The path on which you stand also extends to the south, and in the distance you can just make out the outline of what must be a rural town. A small river trickles to the west.
You are now forced to make a choice:
1. Go north into the meadow.
2. Attempt to enter the wilderness to the east.
3. Take a quick check of yourself and the bag still on the ground.
4. Head south and try to find this town.
Decision will be voting based, vote in the replies.
